Where to put noise reduction pads on a Haier washing machine

Buyers of Haier washing machines complete with the unit receive elongated pieces of foam rubber with self-adhesive strips. However, some owners throw away such gaskets without really thinking about what they are intended for. This is sad, because these devices play an important role in the work of any “home assistant”. Therefore, do not rush to get rid of them: you need to glue noise-reducing pads. And “how and where?” – we’ll tell you today.

Installation of noise reduction elements

If you look at the instructions for your Haier washing machine, you will find that it doesn’t really say where the noise reduction pads should be installed. This is probably why owners often attach them where they are not needed. But they act as a very important element.

By placing the washer on its side, you will gain access to the bottom and see that it is framed by a profile frame. When the unit is standing on legs, this frame does not reach the floor, which causes noise. The sound of the engine passes through the bottom, and the room is filled with the hum of working machinery. The gaskets are designed to neutralize this inconvenience.

Anyone can install noise-reducing elements. There is no need for any fancy steps here. All you need is:

  • Disconnect the washing machine from communications and place it on its side,
  • Take a suitable gasket, tear off the protective paper and carefully glue it to one of the edges of the profile frame.

After this, we perform the same manipulations with other noise-reducing devices. Next, we wait about 20 minutes so that the gasket sets better and only then return the machine to its rightful place. Congratulations – now your “home assistant” will work more quietly!

Remove shipping bolts

Once you have installed noise reduction pads, make sure you take adequate care to ensure the safe operation of your washer. To do this, you should pay attention to whether you got rid of the shipping bolts. These elements force the machine to work noisily, and sometimes even jump, which has a bad effect both on it and on the objects surrounding it. But where to look for the mentioned bolts?

Haier washing machines are not so different from household appliances from other companies. At least when it comes to shipping bolts. These parts are very easy to find, you just need to know where to look for them.

If you are the owner of a “home assistant” with a front-loading type of laundry, the bolts can be found on its rear panel. If you took a unit with a vertical loading type, then these parts will be both behind and on top of the panel. In any case, before you start working with the Haier washing machine, carefully read the user manual - this will eliminate stupid mistakes and help you cope with the installation.

However, there is a situation when instructions are not at hand. Then you have to carefully examine the body of the equipment. Most often, the bolts are attached to the edges of the rear panel. If this is not your first “home assistant,” just remember where the parts were on your previous washing machine. In order to remove them, you will need:

  • Unscrew each screw a couple of centimeters, thereby loosening them,
  • Push the bolts into the body until they stop,
  • Pull out the nozzles along with the screws,
  • Insert a plug into the resulting hole (it is included with the machine).

The transport elements themselves are very important, because unlike other household appliances, which can be equipped with foam, cardboard and other softening materials, washing machines are open to any damage during transport. When we talk about the Haier washing machine, it is important to take into account its structure and internal components. They are easily damaged during transportation.

Other vulnerable areas include the tank and drum. They are always in limbo and barely secured. Therefore, to ensure that the drum does not hit the washing machine body, transportation bolts are used. Thanks to them, the equipment will withstand any, even the most “killed” road without harm to itself or its parts.

It is important to note that the bolts from the company mentioned are similar to others. The transport elements are an elongated screw with a metal spiral rod, the tip of which is a polymer pad, which is separated from the rod by a rubber insert. And, as we have already seen, these parts serve to protect equipment from various damages.
